Abhiseka Das was born in Baltimore, MD in 1986, and shortly thereafter moved to Murfreesboro, TN when his parents relocated.

Abhiseka Das is a disciple of His Holiness Niranjana Swami, and his parents are senior disciples of His Holiness Satsvarupa Das Goswami. Growing up in Murfreesboro provided the opportunity of having the close association of the disciples of Srila Prabhupada and many other devotees, as his parents’ home is the regional center to host programs and devotees.  

After graduating law school in 2017, he practiced law in the greater Nashville area for three years. In October of 2020, Abhiseka Das joined the legal department of a major healthcare company as Associate Counsel. In this role, he is tasked with mitigating risk, advising facilities on day-to-day operational issues, and reviewing various agreements.

Prior to attending law school, Abhiseka Das received a master’s degree in conflict management in 2013. Shortly thereafter, he was able to utilize his training to work with ISKCON Resolve.

After becoming a licensed attorney, he has had the great fortune of using his education in Krishna’s service. Abhiseka Das works closely with ISKCON’s legal department and he has served on various committees.  

In addition to the roles mentioned above, he works closely with His Holiness Hanumatpresaka Swami. Maharaj established the North American Institute for Oriental and Classical Studies (“NIOS”) approximately 15 years ago. Under the umbrella of ISKCON, NIOS has been very successful in spreading Lord Chaitanya’s message to the world of academia in South America, Spain, and India. Currently, Abhiseka Das serves as the President of NIOS.
