Bhakti Bhagavatamrita Keshava swami
Bhakti Bhagavatamrita Keshava Swami joined ISKCON in 1990 in Rostov-on-Don in South Russia. At that time, he was a student in his
last year of study. First, he bought some of Srila Prabhupada's books in an ordinary bookstore and read them. The philosophy of Krsna consciousness immediately inspired him. A few days later, he met with devotees and began to regularly attend the programs and a couple of weeks later he joined the brahmacari asrama. From then until now, he has been serving in the Southern Region of Russia as one of the leaders. He received first and second initiation in 1991 from Prabhavisnu Prabhu and sannyasa initiation in 2014 from Bhakti Vijnana Goswami.
From 1991 up to 1993 he was the leader of the book distribution department in the Rostov Temple. From 1994 to 1997 he served as the Vice President in the Rostov Temple and from 1997 up to 1999 he again was the book distribution department head in the Rostov Temple and basically spent time with the traveling book distribution party. From 1999 to the present he is the Regional Secretary of South Russia and from 1994 to the present he is a member of the Russian National Council. While in ISKCON he has studied a variety of educational courses: on leadership, teacher training, Bhakti-sastri and the guru in ISKCON course. etc. He also regularly has been giving various educational courses for devotees over the past 20 years. The main language he preaches in is Russian. He is learning English and speaks on an elementary conversational level.
