Brahmatirtha Das met the devotees in 1971-72 while a Peace Corps.

At the first Gaura Purnima Festival in Mayapur he met Srila Prabhupada and their conversation has been memorialized in the BBT book Perfect Questions/Perfect Answers.

Brahmatirtha is both a professional mediator and a professional geologist.

He serves as co-director of ISKCON Resolve and as Director of the Bhaktivedanta Institute for Higher Studies in Gainesville Florida.

He is on the Board of Directors of the Krishna House in Gainesville and The Bhakti Center in New York City.
 

He has been married to Bhakti Devi Dasi for 45 years.
