Ekanath Kripa Das was born in Uganda in 1991. In 2012, as a second year student at Makerere University (a leading institution of higher learning in Sub-Saharan Africa), he was exposed to the University’s Bhakti Yoga Club. These Bhakti Yoga Clubs are University preaching missions organized by ISKCON East Africa Yatra in the various institutions of higher learning.

Ekanath Kripa Das did his Bhakta training in Nairobi, Kenya with specific interest in Book Distribution, university preaching and food for life. He later took diksa from His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj in 2017.

He has served in various capacities which include being the Vice Chairperson and later Chairperson of the Bhakti Yoga Club at Makerere University, a member of the Temple Management committee (TMC) of the Temple in Kampala and later chairperson of the same committee. He holds this service to date.

In 2017, he was appointed as a permanent member on the Ratha Yatra Organising Committee of ISKCON Singur in the district of Hoogly in West Bengal (India) and also participates as an active member of ISKCON Law Department, an international congregation of Devotee Attorneys.

Ekanath Kripa Das practices law for a living and has professional memberships with Uganda Law Society, East Africa Law Society and the African Bar Association.
