Visnu Murti Dasa was born in New Zealand in 1958. Leaving New Zealand at the age of 16 to find the meaning of life, his travels took him to Australia, Europe, Africa and Asia.

He has lived in Europe since 1976 and has resided in Belgium at Radhadesh since 1995. In the spring of 1978 at Bhaktivedanta Manor, he met the devotees, the holy names and Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad-gita As It Is and realized that this was everything he had been searching for. Joining ISKCON in France in the summer of 1978, he engaged in full-time book distribution for six years and then served as Vice President and Temple Present in New Mayapur for two years.

In 1988 he joined forces with the Bhaktivedanta Archives to produce the Conversations and Lecture Book Series and the Folio Views Vedabase. In 1995 he founded Bhaktivedanta Library Services a.s.b.l. as a non-profit organization to better facilitate the distribution of devotional books via the internet and bookshops.

In 2007, Visnu Murti founded Vanipedia - an online encyclopedia of Srila Prabhupada's teachings - created to better facilitate people's accessibility and understanding of these teachings. This collaborative effort by over 1,300 devotees presents Srila Prabhupada's teachings in many creative ways. It is an unparalleled repository, so far, in 98 languages.

Visnu Murti's passion is to help devotees to establish a personal and deep relationship with Srila Prabhupada's vani in order to successfully serve him in separation and actively make his mission everything that he wished it to be.
